You have the option to link your 23andMe account to your Apple® account – this means that when you sign in, you will use your Apple ID and password instead of creating a password through 23andMe.
Sign in with Apple also gives you the option to hide your email – this means that your account will be associated with an anonymous relay email. Please note, if you need to contact Customer Care for assistance with your account, you will need to contact us directly from this relay email.
When your 23andMe account is linked to your Apple account, you will log in by clicking the “Sign in with Apple” button below the regular login entry. You will then select or enter your Apple ID and password.
If you are having trouble using Sign in with Apple, please refer to the Frequently Asked Questions below.

What happens if I choose to hide my email? If you choose to hide your email when creating your account with Apple, your account will be associated with an anonymous relay email (this email will look something like 1a2b3c@privaterelay.appleid.com. Email notifications from 23andMe will be forwarded through this relay email to your personal email inbox. Hiding your email will also affect sharing invitations, as users will need to input your anonymous relay email (as opposed to your personal email address) to establish a sharing connection with your account. If you need assistance from Customer Care, you’ll either need to contact us directly from that relay email (preferred), or provide it in your correspondence so that we can locate your account. You can find the relay email associated with your account in two locations:

If you chose to hide your email when creating an account and have a relay email associated with your account (such as 1a2b3c@privaterelay.appleid.com), please contact 23andMe Customer Care for assistance with unlinking your account. |
What if I forgot my Apple ID password? If you do not remember the password to your Apple account, please visit the Apple Support Page for assistance in accessing your Apple account. Why does it say my account is locked? If you are seeing the message below and your account is linked with Apple, you can still log in using the Sign in with Apple button. This indicates that there were too many failed login attempts using the regular login entry (which will not work for Apple-linked accounts). |
